Spend the day in the tranquil surroundings of Knowlands woods with others learning how to create your own Willow basket,finishing with the distinctive 'Stanislaw' traditional polish handle.
We will cover a range of basketry techniques, starting with creating a round,strong base,'staking up' then building the sides, learning about the qualities of willow as a material as we go.
This day is designed as a fun introduction to basketmaking techniques.
All materials,tools and refreshments included.
Please bring your own lunch.
Please note the ground is uneven in places in the woods and a good degree of manual dexterity is needed.
