Spend the day in a beautiful Sussex Woodland learning how to make a basket with a special Polish hazel handled border.
An introduction to some beginners techniques in willow.Participants will complete a basket to take home.
Price includes all materials, tools and refreshments

This beautiful item has been made with seasoned and oiled timber and carefully woven with selected willow.

Textured basket course

Learn how to make a small, willow stake and strand basket, incorporating soft natural materials such as twine and rush.This is a chance to explore a little whilst creating a useful basket.We will also attach a soft strap.
All materials,tools and refreshments are included.
Please note a good level of manual dexterity is needed for this course.
Willow Platter Course

Making a willow Platter or tray is a lovely introduction to weaving with willow,introducing participants to this beautiful and sustainable material.
Max class size is 6.
Gallery 19a is a friendly spacious place to learn.
We will have the fire going,all materials,tools and refreshments included.
Courses at Knowlands require a short walk over rough ground and are held outside.
